Homes for the Brave, is a program that offers an even higher rebate to our country’s public servants. We understand that our public servicemen and women are often required to do a lot for everyone else, but don’t often receive recognition or get paid what they are worth. Home Rebates Realty believes in giving back to the community! This program is offered to Military, Medical Field, Paramedics, Fire Fighters, Teachers, Full Time Students, and anyone working for the state of Utah. We decided to spotlight some of these awesome families every month. So take a moment to meet Jessica and Charles Patten…
Q: How many years have you been in the service?
Jessica recently retired from the Airforce after 20 years of service. Of those 20 years Jessica spent 15 overseas. She has been stationed at four different bases too. She’s been in North Carolina, Japan, Germany, and Alaska.
Q: What did you do while in the Airforce?
Jessica was a Vehicle Operator Dispatcher and also worked with Combat Convoy Support.
Q: How long have you been in Utah?
Jessica and her family moved to Utah 10 months ago after living in Alaska.
Q: How did you hear about our Homes for the Brave program?
Jessica heard about our program through a friend and was excited to learn more about it. She worked with Pam to secure a mortgage and said, “Pam was amazing.” When Jessica was asked if she would recommend the program to other public servants she said, “Yes! Definitely!”
Q: What does your family like to do together?
Jessica and her husband, Charles, have three children. In fact, Charles is also a veteran and worked as a federal employee for six years, before Jessica’s first deployment. Together, with their children, the Patten’s love anything outdoors. They enjoy camping, hiking, and anything family oriented. Jessica said, “We love anything from the ocean to the mountains.” Jessica and her husband have been together for 19 years and married for 16.
We want to thank the Patten’s for their service and we really enjoyed working with them. We’re glad they were able to participate in the Homes for the Brave program and wish them well in their new home!
